THINGS TO KNOW...

Client/Coach Relationship

All coaching sessions are administered virtually.  Life coaching can address specific personal projects, confidence building, life transitions, business successes or failures, or general conditions in the client's life or profession. Other coaching services include value clarification, brainstorming, identifying plans of action, examining modes of operating in life, asking clarifying questions, and making empowering requests or suggestions for action.

Throughout the working relationship, the coach will engage in direct and personal conversations. The client understands that successful coaching requires a co-active collaborative approach between client and coach. In the coaching relationship, the coach plays the role of a facilitator of change, but it is the client's responsibility to enact or bring about the change.

If the client believes the coaching is not working as desired, the client will communicate and take action to return the power to the coaching relationship or choose to terminate the coaching agreement.

The coach can not diagnose, treat, or medicate.

Prior History

The client also agrees to the terms of this agreement in knowing that the coach isn’t a licensed counselor or therapist. Coaching focuses on the future and helps the client to develop a plan to execute their goals. The coach agrees to do a free 20 minute introductory meeting where both the client and coach discuss their expectations. If the coach determines that the client has past trauma or underlying issues that can interfere with the coaching process the coach will not take on the client and refer them to a counselor or therapist. If you would like a resource tool that outlines differences between counseling vs. coaching a resource document can be made available at the client’s request.

You are agreeing that if any mental health difficulties arise during the course of the coaching relationship, you will notify the coach immediately so that an appropriate referral can be discussed.

All sessions are confidential. Exceptions to confidentiality of course relate to circumstances such as intent to seriously harm someone, child abuse etc.
